To support team in Vienna, we are looking for a:

Teamlead Software Development – Railway Solutions (f/m)

The department “Project Engineering / Traffic Management” is responsible for developing and providing product and customer specific components for domestic and international customer projects. As Head of Traffic Management Products Development you and your team ensure a future proof and customer oriented product development (software, hardware, infrastructure).

Your challenge:

  • Lead a team of 5+ developers and ensure a delivery of software projects in time, budget and quality
  • Customer specific project and product development (from the idea to the delivery to maintenance)
  • Close collaboration with testing, operations, product, project and configuration management
  • Short-term and long-term planning of your team

Your profile:

  • Related technical degree or comparable experience
  • 5+ years’ experience in leading, motivating and coaching a development team
  • 5+ years of experience managing development projects and products (responsibility for budget, quality, schedule)
  • You understand all steps of SW-development and delivery (requirements engineering, architectural design, design, implementation, testing, installation / roll-out, maintenance)
  • Profound knowledge of
    • different tech stacks like Java, Linux, MicroService-Architecture, OpenStack with Cloud Foundry, Docker, Kubernetes, RDBMS like Oracle and PostgreSQL
    • different SW platforms (OS, middle ware, network components) and techniques
  • Knowledge of safety and security critical systems and processes (ideally domain-related but not required. F. ex: Rail and Road, SIL 4 and IEC 61508 standards)
  • Outstanding communication and negotiation skills to lead technical discussions with the customer and all stakeholders
  • System-oriented, long-term thinking with a drive to improve processes and a constant focus on quality
  • Able to communicate in English and German (at least level C1)
