The Above Water Systems (AWS) business provide tactical systems and other critical systems for surface vessels, customer support and related services, engineering and integration services for combat systems and through-life support services for naval platforms.

About Your Role

As Operations Manager for our AWS business you will be responsible for:

Operations management including customer service and project support, continuous improvement, managing business change and workforce management

Ensuring operational teams are compliant with relevant standards and processes and driving quality improvement initiatives

Security and export control processes

Supporting the Project Management Office (PMO) to develop and implement project delivery and risk mitigation strategies, bids and projects, and reporting

Ensuring compliance with OH&S, company policies, export control

How About You?

Extensive experience in an operational management role preferably gained within a fast-paced engineering environment with defence experience being well regarded

Experience leading and developing high performing multidisciplinary technical teams within a LEAN environment

Commercial acumen and proven negotiation skills

An ability to influence and build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders
