Our Opportunity 


A senior leadership role has arisen in Thales Australia’s finance department due to internal promotion.  As the General Manager Finance – Shared Services you’ll lead and oversee the function. 

What you’ll do

  • Lead the shared services team by overseeing key transactional processes and looking for opportunities to further standardise and harmonise existing systems/processes/policies
  • Lead the shared services team to improve communication and the efficiency of end-to-end business processes internally and with the external BPO to manage delivery against the SLA
  • Support and enhance the control environment for core financial processes, ensuring appropriate segregation of duties, system controls and governance arrangements in conjunction with the Financial Reporting team
  • Develop strong business partnerships to align shared services with business strategy implementation 
  • Support and deliver on relevant finance transformation initiatives. 

About You

  • Bachelor of Commerce or equivalent degree in Accounting Member of professional accounting body (or comparable)
  • Broad range of experience in the Finance function
  • Extensive experience in leading teams
  • Demonstrated experience in continuously optimising business performance and processes
  • Extensive experience in executive and senior key stakeholder management.

Special Requirements
