Data Analyst Project Manager

Today, Thales in Singapore employs over 600 people and is home to all regional avionics services, a ground transportation integration centre, and regional innovation hub.

Main Tasks  & Responsibilities :

  • Ensure governance for operations performance indicators, including the management of data, formulation of indicators and its presentation, ensuring the monitoring and analysis to highlight issues, as well as tracking the improvements to be made in line with the yearly objectives
  • Collaborate with cross functional teams to better monitor and analyze business indicators from technical/workflow datasets
  • Engage with process owners and stakeholders to identify key causes behind data trends/irregularities and provide resolutions
  • Control and monitor the operational costs via reference cost management, and the determination of the variances of actual costs versus reference cost
  • Manage the projects and project portfolio for operations and ensure their successful accomplishment, respecting (and improving where possible) the scope, schedule and budget of the project
  • Implement changes to the industrial processes to support the project initiatives
  • Work closely with the operations managers and with worldwide counterparts to drive the success of the improvement initiative launched
  • Escalate issues that will put the assigned projects at risks to sponsor and stakeholders.

Requirements :

  • Strong passion to work with large and complex data
  • Proven ability to analyze data and derive conclusions based on facts
  • Be a “change agent” with desire to drive change
  • Able to correlate data and real-world work flow
  • Able to multitask and manage multiple projects and tasks
  • Able to work across time-zones and demographics
  • Comfortable to understand and evaluate technical concepts and solutions
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills


  • Degree in Engineering
  • Data analytics and/or Project Management certification(s) will be an advantage
  • Basic accounting, financial management


  • Minimum of 5 years in manufacturing and/or repair environment
  • Managing IT/IS solutioning
  • Building reports/dashboards (excel, powerBI, etc)
  • Project and project portfolio management for cross-functional initiatives

Specific Knowledge

  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel
  • Power BI or similar data visualization tools
  • Project management in aspects of SDLC, Microsoft Project, HW/SW integration

Business Understanding

  • Familiarity with IS solutions/project management, data analytics
  • Familiar with lifecycle and ecosystem necessary for industrial operations
  • Exposure in a multi-cultural environment in an international business organization beneficial
