About Your Role

This role will delivery on key strategic projects in the Surface Ships domain for the Thales Underwater Systems team.

As the Programme Manager you will be responsible for:

  • Planning, organising, leading and controlling the area and staff assigned to achieve outcomes within delegated authorities and responsibilities.

  • Managing the cost, schedule and technical performance, and implementing actions to resolve non-conformances

  • Coaching, supporting and delegating to team members and the whole team to enable them to achieve the work objectives;

  • Formal risk identification, monitoring and reporting program and ensuring risk mitigation procedures are applied;

  • Developing initiatives that will improve Thales Australia projects, products and services;

  • Preparing and evaluating budgets, expenditure and financial performance metrics

About you

  • Degree qualified in engineering, science or business/commercial with substantial experience delivering large and complex bids, projects and contracts

  • An extensive background leading programs and projects, preferably within a defence setting

  • Advanced communication and interpersonal skills and demonstrated ability to engage, influence and negotiate at all levels
