About Your Role

You’ll lead the procurement of complex installation activities across various market sectors in Australia, from transportation to air traffic management centres.  You’ll ensure that the execution of the sourcing strategy is in line with the business and corporate objectives, and that timeframes and deliverables are aligned in order to deliver the best overall outcome (cost, service and/or quality) for Thales Australia. You’ll cover all the market sectors within Thales Australia, and as such require an excellent view of the organization as well as a strong ability to interact with many stakeholders while maintaining a clear regional strategy.  

You’ll also - 

  • Define Long Term Procurement Strategy for Installation
  • Lead the tendering process for bids and projects involving Installation
  • Support the Supply Chain process by managing the supplier’s performance (quality, cost and timely delivery), including risks and opportunities.

How About You?

  • Experience in the Construction/Installation/Transportation or Defence environment
  • Extensive Procurement, Contract Management or Commercial experience in a complex Project environment
  • Experience in negotiating and managing contract spends of up to $50M per annum 
  • Ability to develop strong relationship with internal stakeholders at all levels and influence decisions
  • Recognised professional accreditation (CIPS, EIPM, RICS or equivalent) 
  • Business aware and customer oriented with organisation and commercial awareness
