The Security Assurance Practitioner will be responsible for supporting the Internal assurance and external accreditation requirements for all IT systems that store, process and handle customer and Thales information.

You will be required to assist in the production of risk assessments against Thales UK systems ensuring compliance against Thales Chorus 2 policies and contractual requirements. This will enable the Confidentiality, Integrity and Availability of Information held by Thales UK to be protected to an assured and acceptable level from compromise.

In addition, you will support both Strategic and non-strategic Site accreditations to maintain group compliance for connection of Thales network and assist the security assurance activities associated with the BMN programme in order to ensure business managed systems are assured and accredited as appropriate.

Key Tasks

  • Assure business and programme Risk Management Accreditation Documents Sets (RMADS) required for the accreditation of all Thales UK Information Systems

  • Support the submission of all DART applications for Thales UK

  • Identify assurance requirements for new bids and projects, both internal and external

  • Identify key business security risks which may need to be placed onto the Risk Portal for mitigation or acceptance

  • Assist with the customer and internal supplier assurance activities where necessary including Octavian input

  • Provide KPIs and reports when required

Requirements

The ideal candidate will be an security assurance/accreditation professional with advanced level of knowledge and understanding of both IT / Network and Standard security assurance/accreditation protocols.

Experience working with MOD accreditation and on a programme/project basis is highly advantageous

In line with Thales' Baseline Security requirements, candidates will be asked to provide evidence of identity, eligibility to work in the UK and employment and/or education history for up to three years. Some vacancies may require full Security Clearance which can require further evidence to be provided.
