This role will contribute to the engineering activities required to Verify and Validate a solution/product achieving customer satisfaction of the delivered solution/product.

Key Responsibilities and Tasks:

  • Help in the planning and execution of trials (internal & external based).
  • Help in the liaison with suppliers, sub-contractors & facilities in arranging trials, discussing technical requirements and getting quotes.
  • Supporting the environmental & catapult facilities at MBH & then at Green Park.
  • Working, with supervision, on explosive trials/tests both in the Thales facility and at external test ranges.
  • Supporting the generation of Trials Reports.
  • Provide inputs to tasks associated with formalising the specification and the engineering plans used to develop the solution/product.
  • Develop relationships within the Trials Group
  • Demonstrating understanding of IVVQ lifecycles and how the role influences & interacts with this.
  • Gain an understanding of the catapult, Genesis, high speed camera, SEM (Scanning Electron microscope) & Environmental equipment from the team.

Skills and Experience Required

  • Working experience of Environmental Test Equipment
  • Knowledge of Word/Excel and other Microsoft Office tools
  • Working experience or relevant training on the handling of explosives is desirable
  • Working knowledge of an Engineering Configuration Management Tool such as PDM/Windchill or PALMA is desirable
