We are looking for a Senior Signalling Software Engineer to integrate our Railway Signalling Project team, working in a global project with a high level of complexity and key to the future endeavors for the Ground Transportation Systems domain.

Your life as a Senior Signalling Software Engineer

As a Senior Signalling Software Engineer you will be responsible to carry out the adaptation of Thales interlocking systems in turn-key projects for national and international customers. Your work will involve solving complex technical issues, assisting with expertise in ongoing projects, be responsible for preparing and implementing solutions in technical projects, responding to customer needs, and ensuring best practices within Thales Signalling Systems. Your main tasks and responsabilities include:


•    Providing signalling support for your projects;
•    Reviewing and approval of documents/drawings;
•    Working closely with Thales internationally to tailor solutions and ensure implementation of our systems according to national regulations;
•    Design and implementing interlocking system functions to meet the customer requirements;
•    Actively contribute in knowledge transfer with the possibility of coaching other signal engineers and installers in the specific field;
•    Develop and proposing innovative solutions to meet customer requirements in relevant areas.

About you


•    You own a degree in Electrotechnical Engineering Degree or Equivalent with a minimum of 5 years of experience;
•    Knowledge in safety critical systems development based in CENELEC standards (50126/50128/50129);
•    Desired experience in railway systems development;
•    Knowledge of Petri net/PLC/Ladder Logic;
•    Desired knowledge in computer networking design and configuration;
•    SW development skills (Python);
•    SW development skills (C/C++/Scripting) is a plus;
•    Knowledge of relevant tools, methods and methodology in the field;
•    Fluency in English, both orally and in writing. Portuguese fluency is a plus.
