Safety and Quality Assurance Manager

We are looking for a Safety and Quality Assurance Manager to integrate the Quality and Safety Department with the main goal of supporting products, proposals and projects in the Aerospace and Defence (ASD) domains.
As a Safety and Quality Assurance Manager you will assure the commitments with quality, cost and delays of safety Work Packages under your responsibility. You will produce analysis and safety recommendations and safety folders according to regulations. You will contribute to technical proposals and quotations in the safety related points. You will contribute to the capitalization and lessons learnt for safety activities and contribute to the Engineering change management activities.
You will perform the following activities:
- Performing RAM analysis to define the reliability figure of the system under scope of the Safety Folder
- Identification and analysis of the list of hazards for the system under scope of the Safety Folder (FHA)
- Definition of the system safety objectives
- Performing the PSSA by assessing the system design with respect to the hazards and safety objective, identifying HW reliability, Mitigation Means and SW assurance levels needed to meet the safety objectives
- Performing the SSA by assessing that safety features identified by PSSA are implemented and verified (verification of requirements contributing to safety mapped to Mitigation Means, HW probabilistic objectives assessment, SWAL objectives compliance assessment)
- Supporting the Engineering team in the evidences production, necessary for the SW assurance objectives compliance
- Performing analysis of PCR from integration phase and assessing safety impact of PCRs still open in version to be delivered to Customer for being operational (as part of SSA)
- Reporting any safety issue to the project management
- Ensuring that the project deliverables comply with the customer’s requirements and with the applicable norms and standards
- Guiding the Project team in defining and adjusting the Project reference system, and validates the resulting plans. Adjusts Quality Assurance actions to make sure they focus on the risks, taking into account the maturity of the Project team
- Assessing the execution of the Project (in relation to the plans): Evaluates deliverables through peer reviews, and ensures visibility through QA Advice, based on the feedback and vision of the Quality managers in each profession.
About you
Skills
- Engineering degree (e.g. Software, Systems, Industrial, Aerospace)
- Knowledge and experience for applying safety analysis methodologies (e.g. Fault Tree Analysis, Failure Modes Effects Analysis, FHA)
- Knowledge of engineering processes within a project and industrial experience within a project
- Experience in Software Preponderant critical systems design
- Experience in system specification requirements analysis
- Teamwork ability and good communication
- SW development experience (not mandatory)
- Experience in Quality and Safety Management System standards
- Knowledge of system and software development standards and maturity models (CMMI, ESA, ISO)
- Knowledge of Air Traffic Services Safety (ICAO, EASA, FAA, CAA, CASA, ED-153, ED109, ED 87D, ED 128)
