Electric Propulsion Product Lead Engineer

Thales Alenia Space are looking for a person with Power Supply experience to join the team.
Responsibilities of role:
Technical follow-up of the development, procurement and acceptance of the equipment/product
Generate and manage the technical requirements specification (URD) for the propulsion equipment/product
Become the technical interface for the equipment/product externally with the equipment supplier/s and occasionally with TAS customer technical teams
Become the technical interface for the equipment/product internally between functional disciplines, subsystem and occasionally system teams within TAS.
Support the technical evaluation of supplier proposal reviews in TEBs and support propulsion equipment definition and selection.
Review and consolidate the suppliers technical documentation for the equipment through the different project life cycle milestones & reviews (EQSR, PDR, CDR, MRR, TRR, QR, etc)
Prepare technical inputs and documentation for the selected equipment for each subsystem / system project review (PDR, CDR, MRR, QR etc)
Verify that the acceptance or qualification test plan (ATP or QTP) of the productis in accordance with the requirements of the URD.
Review the equipment test report/s (ATR/QTR) in preparation for the TRB and perform trend analysis for every unit produced for TAS.
Support and coordinate technical investigations as required to resolve NCs during equipment development / manufacturing / testing
Consolidate RFDs issued by suppliers for propulsion equipment/products and provide input to CCBs.
Be recognised externally as the technical lead within TAS UK for the equipment/product with the equipment supplier/s and customer technical teams
Be recognised and respected amongst his or her peers internally as the technical lead within TAS UK for the equipment/product between functional disciplines, subsystem and system teams within TAS
Work with stakeholders, at all levels within the business to resolve complex business and technical challenges.
Provide in depth technical expertise on his/her equipment to support a bid or project and implements appropriate solutions.
Often work as part of a specialist multi-functional team, for specific periods of time and on bounded activities to address new equipment/product development needs.

Qualifications, Skills & Experience;
The following are considered essential for this role:
Degree level qualification in a discipline associated with Space Engineering (such as aerospace/astronautics/mechanical engineering) or related subjects (such as physics). Post-graduate research in a subject field related to propulsion would be desirable
In line with Thales' Baseline Security requirements, candidates will be asked to provide evidence of identity, eligibility to work in the UK and employment and/or education history for up to three years.
