IT Administrator

Ensure that the general office infrastructure and systems meet business requirements, service levels, and are both reliable and secure. Support and maintain the Production and R&D LAN and interconnections. Assist the site IT Manager in the delivery of technical projects for Thales DIS internal customers in line with the DIS IT strategy. Ensure the vendor and customer compliance of the implemented logical security controls with the Thales DIS standards and security systems.
Essential Functions
- Administer networks and systems (Implementation and support of servers and network infrastructure)
- Work closely with Thales DIS sub-contractors on technical support and projects
- Work closely with the Data Center teams on technical support issues and projects
- Making firewall change requests for the site
- Work on regional and corporate projects
- Recommend, design and deliver improvements to the network and systems to meet changing demands and new technology
- Maintain a strict change control regime for all changes affecting the infrastructure in line with ITIL standards
- Maintain up-to-date technical documentation on the network including: network topology/diagrams, back-up and restore procedures, security procedures, operation/support procedures
- Promote Thales DIS IT/IS standards and strategies and ensure compliance
Skills, Experience & Education
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology and/or IT certifications (MCSA, CAN, Security +, etc)
- 3 years’ experience in IS/IT support
- Broad understanding of a range of technologies and practical knowledge of information security
- Experience working in an international IT/IS organization
- Excellent knowledge of Windows and Networking
- Experience working with VMWare, ESX and SAN technologies
Preferred Qualifications
- Customer and business focused with strong verbal and written communication skills
- Service and delivery oriented
- Able to work independently without supervision
