Regional Sales Manager

Thales’ Cloud Protection & Licensing (CPL) division creates some of the worlds’ best and most innovative products in the Identity and Data Protection space.

Working closely with existing local Sales team, sales partners, end customers and prospects with primary responsibility for driving new business with the end user and channel focus. Tasked with creating, developing and executing sales strategies for assigned verticals and accounts, partner development as well as generating and executing accurate and realistic sales forecasts.  The RSM/Channel Sales Manager is expected to deliver consistent revenue performance and growth, and will need to opportunistically look at the market for breakout revenue opportunities.

Experience:  

  • 7+ years of sales experience in IT/IS industries, at least 5 years in the Sale Manager/Major Account Manager/Channel Sales Manager role, i.e. selling into major accounts and working with Channel Partners.
  • Experience of working with European HQ’ed corporation selling, positioning and marketing IT/IT Security solutions to the Russian Enterprise: primarily Telecom, Manufacturing, Utility sectors.
  • Strong solution selling experience
  • A proven track record of selling specialist hardware and software solutions via a sales channel network, preferably in a security, software/solutions environment.
  • Knowledge of underlying security technologies as well as technically proficiency in software and hardware IT.
  • Experienced in managing all aspects of the sales cycle including prospecting, development of the customer relationship at all levels and the implementation of the account / territory plans. 
  • Experience in working with revenue models which include both one time and recurring revenue streams, and which include multiple products.

Skills:

  • Capable of closing complex deals from new sales opportunity prospect identification to contract signing and project completion.
  • Able to up-sell and cross sell in strategic accounts / verticals as well as penetrating and closing strategic targets. 
  • Strong networking skills both with major accounts and end user customers.
  • Comfortable being an active participant (not necessarily leader) in highly technical discussions, and able to collaboratively work with Sales Engineers to ensure that commercial goals are achieved within territory of responsibility.
  • Sales driven with strong track record of closing big ticket item deals and multiple smaller caliber projects.
  • Ability to communicate with senior management. Ability to articulate sales and marketing strategy in front of the channel, prospects and customers globally and communicate Thales DIS CPL message to a wide variety of audiences.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills.
  • Ability to execute individually and strong team spirit.
  • Fluency in Russian and in English, both written and spoken.
  • Ability to work and deliver under pressure
