As part of the Passive RF & Subsystems Engineering Area, you will join an enthusiast team, in charge of designing, developing and testing a communication subsystem based on a digital processor.

Tasks will include:

  • Being in charge of the integration, verification, validation and qualification (IVVQ) plan of the subsystem
  • Defining the test to be done in order to validate the processor design
  • Generating specifications of the test benches necessary to carry out the tests.
  • Performing the tests on laboratory (EM models) to verify and debug the hardware/firmware/software design
  • Teamwork with several other departments: mechanical, firmware, software, components, purchasing, AIT, etc

To succeed at this role, you must have the following experience and skills:

  • Degree or MSc in Telecommunication engineering, or equivalent, with specialisation on radiofrequency electronics and digital communications.
  • Relevant experience in the development and validation of RF & data transmission subsystems up to Ka-band.
  • Experience working with test instrumentation: Spectrum Analysers, Network Analysers, Signal Analyzers, Logic Analyzers, Data Patterns Generators, Oscilloscopes, BER tester...
  • Proficient in English and Spanish.

Any of the following will be a plus:

  • Knowledge of digital signal processing / software defined radio.
  • Experience on digital communication: modulation schemes, error correction coding, characterisation of communication links (channel distortion, EVM, BER, FER)
  • Having worked in space industry. Knowledge of space programs design rules and standards.
