Business Development Manager - 5G Security

The Business Development Manager for 5G is responsible for developing new and existing business opportunities for Thales CPL portfolio around 5G for MNO, NEP's, SI/GSI and Enterprise. This position will engage with our most strategic 5G providers to envision, build and launch new converged 5G Security services that have our solutions designed into the fabric of the service.
The position requires this individual to work closely with, and in support of, the Account Sales Teams by coordinating and executing a joint sales strategy and sales approach leveraging the Business Unit resources and expertise. This extended team approach is driven to a common goal of developing projects to grow revenue for 5G Platforms, Products, and Solutions, ensuring accounts are developed agreements and executed and deployment initiated in a coordinated and systematic manner all CPL product line. The role’s primary focus is on the EMEA region.
A background from Telco would suit this role well but you must have experience of 5G security.
You will take existing 5G security products to fulfil RFIs for customers that do not have answers to security yet. We are looking for someone to really explore the customers requirements to best understand which product is best.
Lead execution of sales for 5G solutions that drives the use of Thales data encryption products & solutions.
Market research and sales strategy analysis to focus on the disruption and transformation of 5G technology and business models in the EMEA market.
Assist field sales teams to develop longer-range joint initiatives or ventures that require mutual investment from Thales CPL and key customers.
Understand and develop strategies and tactics for disrupting existing markets and building new 5G use cases that will produce new partnership and sales opportunities.
Support sales management to maintain senior relationships in key accounts.
Workshop ideation & facilitation – design, organize and facilitate workshops with business decision-maker executives and managers across the journey of envisioning new service opportunities
Development/delivery of value positioning, collateral and sales readiness training necessary to support field sellers to effectively sell into the target accounts. Working with the Sales and PM to develop and deliver sales and technical enablement.
Working across EMEA region on pipeline, forecast accuracy, and dashboard reporting.
Skills and Experience:
Experience selling to MNO's, NEP's or enterprise security solutions
Experience selling virtualized VNF/CNF based solutions, domain orchestration, or cross-domain service orchestration to mobile operators is highly preferred.
Experience coordinating matrixed virtual teams of field professionals (Sales Executives, Field SE’s, Inside Sales, Field Marketing, Services, etc.)
Consistent track record of successful business development in a highly competitive environment
Travel locally or internationally up to 30% of time
Capacity to quickly understand new technical concepts and translate them to actionable business models.
5G Technology, IoT, Manufacturing automation solutions, IT industry
Business development experience engaging with MNO's, NEP's, SI/GSI to envision/build/launch new business services for monetization.
