As a Sales Engineer based in Hong Kong, you will be responsible for providing pre-sales technical support related to all Thales DIS CPL authentication products within the assigned territory.

KEY ACTIVITIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES                                                                  

A week in the life of a Sales Engineer:

  • Work closely with sales team to deliver business target within the assigned territory.
  • Full solution engineering support include technical presentation, customer requirement discovery/study and qualifications, solution architecture design, solution demonstration and proof of concept.
  • Review critical post-sales support issues and champion escalation meetings with support team to achieve unsurpassed customer satisfaction
  • Deliver technical enablement workshop to partner and customer. Prepare and deliver solution presentations and RFI/RFP’s response.
  • Provide product roadmap and industry thought leadership update to customers. Gather customer feedback to build on product enhancement and market intelligence.
  • Support presentation in user conferences and trade shows

KEY KNOWLEDGE AND EXPERIENCE                                                                             

To be successful in your role, you will have demonstrated and/or acquired the following knowledge and experience:

  • Experience with Identity Protection, Authentication solutions, Smartcards, or other Identity Management and Security products and solutions (Access management, single sign-on, identity federation)
  • Knowledge of IAM in Cloud (Microsoft Azure, AWS, GCP etc)
  • Experience with a wide range of authentication solutions, such as smart cards, tokens, one time password solutions (OTP), single sign-on solutions and certificate-based authentication.
  • An understanding of the concept of Cryptography and Security – ideally including several of the following: PKI, OpenID Connect, SAML, Card management systems etc.
  • Familiarity with Windows Server administration, Active Directory, Remote Access, Virtual Private Networks (VPN), Microsoft Certificate Services, Active Directory Federation Services or other Federation Services.
  • Experience with virtualization products such as AWS, Azure, GCP, VMWare, Hyper-V, XEN.
  • Software development or scripting expertise is desirable (Java, .NET, C++, C#, SQL, XML, Scripting).
  • CISSP, CISA is a plus
  • You mustbe fluent in Cantonese, English and Mandarin.
  • We are looking for someone with a Bachelor degree in MIS, Computing or similar subjects, having 5 years technical experience in the IT industry and with at least 3 years experience in a customer facing role, ideally in presales or sales engineering.
