About you
This job is highly suited to an enthusiastic professional with the ambition to work on complex solutions and the capacity to transfer technical knowledge to our customers. We are looking for a hands on colleague who is interested in working with both legacy and newest technologies, as we support our products during their long product life cycle.

  • Bachelor/Master  in e.g. Electrical Engineering, Electronics, Physics or equivalent professional.

  • Technical training experience with complex systems and solutions.

  • Proven didactic skills, knowledge of teaching methods.

  • Practical experience with computers and networks.

  • Able to analyze and interpret complex hardware / software specifications and documentation.

  • Professional language skills in English (verbal and writing); German is a plus.

  • Analytical and problem-solving capacity.

  • Flexibility to achieve the training objective in unexpected circumstances.

  • Ability to empathize with other cultures and customs.

  • Flexible to travel.


About your future job
We offer the possibility of working in an exciting and technically challenging domain providing training programs for our customers about our systems and solutions. These solutions include radar equipment, electro optical systems and combat management systems (CMS) that interact with other sensors and effectors on board of naval ships.

In the role of Technical Trainer CMS you will be part of the training team and will work with our customers (maintainers) on these systems during their whole lifecycle. Our customer training programs focus on different levels of maintenance training.

You will work both at our premises and at customer locations (land based test locations and on board of ships) around the world. Some of your responsibilities will be:

  • Specify and develop training plan and material, in cooperation with logistic engineers, technical authors and project teams.

  • Provide training programs in our Thales International Training Centre or at customer locations.

  • Act as host for our trainees, together with our Welfare officer and project team.

  • Collect information for our support teams in case of technical and/or performance problems.
