For the Fire Control Systems part of Software Engineering, we are looking for a talented Team Manager to support the existing Group Manager.

About the job

The prime responsibility of the team manager is people management. You will be responsible for creating an environment in which individuals and teams can grow and be successful. People are our key asset and as manager your first priority. We expect our managers to coach and facilitate teams and maximize the talents in the teams. As team manager you are responsible for our software development processes, both inside the department and with external stakeholders. You also share in the responsibility for the operational performance of the development teams. Together with the project manager you are responsible for agreed milestones and budgets.

You will work closely with and report to the group manager Fire Control Systems.

About you

  • You are a gifted people-person and have an interest in people and their development.
  • You are self-aware, can reflect on situations, understand your pitfalls and recognize automatic thoughts, so you can steer yourself and also bring out the best in yourself.
  • You are a team player with a ‘can do’ attitude and a ‘win-win’ focus and in constructive cooperation with all stakeholders for the benefit of the greater good.
  • You are analytical, creative and take the responsibility to find solutions
  • You have a product-oriented mindset.
  • You understand agile development methodologies.
  • You have a bachelor or master degree in a technical domain.
  • You have at least 4 years working experience within an engineering area at a high-tech company.
  • You are fluent in spoken and written English and Dutch.
  • You have the Dutch nationality.

The position is open for candidates without (line) management experience.
