Hardware design engineer for Test Equipment

For our « Engineering » department , we are currently recruiting a :
Hardware design engineer for Automatic Test Equipment (ATE)
Mission:
Within the ATE engineering team based in Charleroi, in close-cooperation with the IVVQ (Integration Verification Validation Qualification) engineering team, you will be in charge of the analysis of test means requirements, and will define, design, modify corresponding test means. These test means will be used to interact with the DUT (Device Under Test) with the help of our TAS-B proprietary SW platform PePyt, in order to validate the electrical behavior of the DUT. Extensive use of a wide range of existing HW building blocks (BBK) is made. Develop new ones or modify existing ones may be required. You will be working under the supervision of a technical manager.
Main activities:
Definition / design / modification of test means, including:
- Test means requirement analysis
- ATE architecture and synoptic definition (if not already defined)
- Test racks definition / design / modification (general view, electrical schema, wiring plan, mechanical design, …)
- Harnesses definition / design / modification
- PBA (PCBA) design / modification (if necessary)
- SW database definition support (e.g. test parameters)
- Documentation (plans, user manual, test plan, …) and configuration management
- ATE manufacturing supervision (it may be subcontracted)
- ATE integration procedure definition
- ATE integration support
- CE conformity assessment support
- IVVQ and production teams support
Profile:
Essential
-Master in electrical or electronics engineering
-Excellent knowledge of :
- o electrical characteristics measurement techniques
- o electrical test systems
- o electrical, electronical and mechanical CAO tools (Eagle, …)
- o configuration management
- o electrical safety rules (BA5)
-Good knowledge of communication protocols (Ethernet, TCP/IP, CAN, MIL-STD-1553, UART, …)
-Experience in hardware maintenance
-Autonomous & rigorous
-Excellent interpersonal skills (leadership, sound judgment, synthesis)
-Respect budget, planning and able to work to deadlines
- >3 years experience in hardware development and verification
-French and English knowledge, written and spoken
Assets
- Knowledge of Python programming language is an advantage
- Familiar with Agile method and Scrum framework
