About Your Role

The Senior Project Manager is accountable for managing all activities associated with the Armidale Class Patrol Boat Program (ACPB) In Service Support (ISS) Contract in Cairns. This will include assisting in securing opportunities and managing all aspects of projects to achieve the defined contractual obligations to agreed budget, schedule and performance outcomes.

Focussing across three sites in Cairns, in this role you will:

  • Manage key internal and external stakeholders, ensuring ongoing project updates and achievement of accountabilities

  • Manage Cairns based projects from design to implementation, ensuring adherence to schedule and safety

  • Manage risks and opportunities

  • Developing Project Plans and Risk Registers, as well as estimates and management of costs

  • Engage THALES staff and subcontractors in support of all Cairns based projects, providing appropriate direction, coaching, support and delegation, and ensuring a team oriented environment

How About You?

The successful candidate will demonstrate project management experience, exposure to production as well as a background in engineering, ILS, configuration management and maintenance.A background in ship repair or maritime projects will be highly regarded. 

Your personal qualities will include the ability to communicate and influence stakeholders at all levels.  Your skills and experience will be supported by tertiary qualifications in engineering or project management.
