Thales is currently seeking a Innovation Product Manager to join the team in Austin, TX.  This role can be fully virtual, but candidates that are local to Austin, TX are preferred.  The Product Manager for building Thales CPL’s identity centric security product innovations. These innovations aim at delivering zero-trust security from an identity-centric perspective (real-time monitoring and remediation for authentication and access security gaps) for mid and large enterprise environments. The individual will execute the innovation initiatives with a cross functional team in a lean agile model to build (turn ideas into productize-able offerings), measure (validate customer value and growth) and learn (pivot or continue strategy) product fitment. The Product Manager is responsible for its product line and their evolution and business performance throughout their respective lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for solution value proposition and roadmap for the identity centric zero trust security product & solution innovations that combine native (organically built) and third-party (partner and/or integrate) identity security technologies such as: Identity & Access Management, Single Sign on, Identity Governance, Multi-factor authentication, Privileged Access Management, SASe/SDP/SDWAN, CASBs etc..

  • Make critical decisions in the concept, development and evolution of cloud hosted/delivered as-a-service offerings that are based on comprehensive API SDKs and toolkits.

  • Align product/solution plan and delivery with market and customer demands, and according to allocated budget.

  • Drive product/solution planning and execution activities according to Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe), play the product owner/manager role as needed.

  • Lead through influence cross-functional teams (R&D, Sales, Business Development, Customer Support, Operations, and Finance) according to product line and business activities and priorities.

  • Work with their manager to devise and present product strategy and plans for executive sponsorship.

Required Skills and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Computer Science or another relevant field of technical study.

  • Minimum of 5 years of overall product management experience

  • Minimum of 5  years of overall experience working with and influencing cross-functional teams, devising and presenting product plans.

  • Minimum of 1 year of experience with product planning and execution following Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe).

  • Ability to travel to visit customers and teams worldwide at least 25% of travel within a quarter once restrictions have been lifted.

  • Experience working with identity, trust and assurance (Identity & Access Management, Multi factor authentication, Single Sign on, Identity Governance & Administration, and Privileged Access Management).

  • Familiarity with large enterprise organization structures, buyer personas, consumer personas and needs for security technologies (application, data, network security).


Preferred Skills and Experience:

  • Experience with network security-as-a-service in some form (any one or more of software defined perimeter, software defined networks, software defined WANs, SASE-secure access service edge, CASBs).

  • Master’s Degree in Sciences, Engineering or Business or another relevant field of study.
