Thales provides world-leading Communications-Based Train Control (CBTC) and interlocking for mass rail transit applications globally. The Centre of Competence for Urban Rail Signalling is located right before you at mid-town Toronto. As the largest office in Canada, we house a department for every step of the Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC)! This includes Software, Hardware, Systems Design, Verification & Validation, Operations, etc. The supporting corporate shared services teams in Finance, Human Resources and IT is also located at the office. Our office space was designed to provide a sustainable, healthy workplace that expresses TRSS’s brand while increasing collaboration. We are currently looking for a Marketing & Communications Intern/Co-op to join the Thales Canada Transport Business line in the Toronto Office.

Term Start: January, 2020 start

Duration: 4, 8, 12, or 16 months Is this supposed to be 12 months?

In order to qualify for this intern or co-op role, you must meet all of the following requirements:

·         Currently enrolled or recently graduated from an accredited university or college

·         Studying communications, marketing, public relations, business, or another related field

·         Able to work Full Time for the specified term lengths

·         Strong written and verbal communication skills

Key Responsibilities:

·         Create content for publication on various internal and external communication channels, design visuals, film and edit short videos

·         Drafting and design/layout of articles and other content for the Intranet

·         Assist with development of content for the website

·         Help organize internal and external events

·         Plan and draft content for social media campaigns

·         Drafting of media relations products such as Press Releases, Photo Sheets, and Backgrounders

·         Assist with marketing activities as needed, i.e. Market Analysis, PowerPoint Decks, drafting marketing materials, etc.
